Does micrografting leave any scars ?

Micrografting leaves very tiny scars that do not affect your looks, as they are hidden by your hair and are invisible to the naked eye. Remember that even the best hair transplant will always leave a few small imperfections, but the vast majority of people will never notice. It is often even hard to spot the donor areas from which hair strands were retrieved. The scar, a very thin line, is completely hidden by your hair. However, thanks to the trichophytic closure technique that we use in our surgeries, this fine linear scar literally disappears because new hair actually takes root in the scar. A technique known as follicular unit extraction (FUE) consists of removing hair transplant grafts one by one from the donor area. It typically requires shaving a large portion of the donor area and the surgery is necessarily a much more lengthy process (which naturally implies a significantly higher cost). The goal of this approach is to avoid scarring at the back of the head. Given the results now achieved with trichophytic closure, this technique is no longer required, all the more so that it in itself creates thousands of circumferential scars.
